How Do I Search through Listings?

  • Visitors can click on 'Search Listings for Free' from Homepage
  • Registered users can click on ‘Search Our Listings’ after logging in. 
  • Registered users may also click on ‘Quick Search’ or ‘Advanced Search’ to the right of page. 

Can I Contact Owners if I Am a Registered User?

  • Only PREMIUM users can contact owners via EMAIL or PHONE. 
  • Visitors may view listing THUMBNAILS but not full ‘Property Details’.
  • Registered users can 'Tell a Friend', 'Google Map' and 'Print Ad'
  • Registered users may also 'Add' and save a listing for future reference

Do I Pay a Fee to Register?

  • Registration is Free and you can ‘Saved Listings’ of interest, ‘Print Ad’, and ‘Google Map’ the property.

How Do I Register for a Login?

  • Click on ‘Register Now’
  • Select RENTER and Fill out all required fields marked by an Asterisk (*). 
  • Exact ADDRESS is not necessary. 
  • Elaborate in 'Tell Landlords About You' field so landlords have sufficient info regarding your search.
  • Click on REGISTER button to upload information.

How Do I Activate my Account?

  • Once registration upload is complete, an Email is sent to your email address containing an Activation Link.
  • Go to your email and Click on the Link to activate your Account.
  • Be sure to check your trash if email is not in your Inbox
  • For any activation issues, send an email with your USERNAME to inquiries@myidealapartment.net

How Do I Log in Next Time I Visit the Site?

From Home page log in with chosen username and password and click on LOGIN.

What If I Forget my Password?

  • Click on ‘Forgot your Password’ from Home page
  • Enter username in order to pick a new Password.

What’s ‘Keep Me Signed In’?

  • By checking box, you will not be logged out automatically for periods of inactivity.

How Do I Log Out?

  • Click on ‘Log Out’
  • Need to Log In again to have access to your Account.

How Do I Save Listings?

  • Registered users may opt to save individual listings of interest for future reference.
  • Click on ‘Save This Listing’ from search results page.

How Do I View my Saved Listings?

  • Click on ‘Saved Listings’ from top menu bar
  • View and access all of your ‘Saved Listings’.

Can I Contact Owners from my Saved Listings?

  • Yes you can ‘Contact Owners’ if you are a PREMIUM user. 
  • If you are a Registered user, you can view ‘Property Details’ or ‘Delete’ saved listings.

How Do I Save Specific Searches?

  • Registered users may choose to save specific ‘Searches’ by clicking on ‘Save this Search’.
  • Pick a ‘Name’ for the ‘Search’ and click ‘Save’.

How Do I View my Saved Searches?

  • Click on ‘Saved Searches’ from top ‘Menu Bar’.
  • Click on respective ‘Go Search’ to view Search Results.

How Do I Delete my Saved Searches?

  • Click on ‘Saved Searches’ from top ‘Menu Bar’.
  • Click on respective ‘Delete’ to remove specific Search Results.

What’s ‘Premium Access’?

  • myIdealApartment.net provides the same, free standard level of access to all of its registered users.
  • We charge a nominal fee for ‘Premium Access Services’ when you contact us to assist you with your housing and other needs.
  • There is also a nominal fee charged to Premium Users to contact other users via Phone or Email.

What’s ‘My Payments’?

  • My Payments tab allows registered users to track payments made to myIdealApartment.net.

How Do I Edit My Account?

  • Click on My Account tab from top menu bar to EDIT and SAVE profiles.

How Do I Modify Search?

  • From search results page, click on ‘Modify Search’ from top left of page.

What’s Quick Search?

  • Quick Search allows users to do a search using following 6 criteria only: Bedrooms, Rental Types, Region, Category, Lease Types, or State.
  • Region searches are for listings located in designated areas or states.
  • Select the other criteria to be more selective and narrow your ‘Quick Search’ results.

What’s Advanced Search?

Advanced Search allows users to select multiple criteria that fit their preference. Permits users to do a more targeted search using various criteria, such as:

  • State – Use drop down menu list to search for listings in a specific state.
  • City – Use box to search for listings in a specific city or town.
  • Region – Use the Region drop down menu list to select a specific area or state
  • Zip/Postal Code: Search for rental properties within specific distances of a Zip Code.
  • Rental Types – Indicate whether you are interested in sharing an apartment with someone or with the owner Or interested in your own apartment
  • Lease Types – Indicate whether you are interested in daily, weekly, monthly, or in other short-term or long-term leases
  • Price Quote – Indicate your price range
  • Arrival – Indicate your Move-in date to retrieve rentals with appropriate availabilities
  • Departure – Indicate your Departure date to retrieve rentals with appropriate availabilities
  • Category – Indicate furnished or unfurnished rental options etc…
  • Rental Preference – Indicate preference for apartment, house, hotel, dormitory, bed & breakfast etc...
  • Pets – Indicate whether or not you prefer properties that accommodate pets or choose ‘Either’ to retrieve both types
  • Smoking – Indicate whether or not you prefer properties that accommodate smoking or choose ‘Either’ to retrieve both types
  • Bedrooms – Indicate preferred number of bedrooms
  • Bathrooms – Indicate preferred number of bathrooms
  • Security Deposit – Indicate whether or not you prefer properties that do not require a security deposit or choose ‘Either’ to retrieve both types
  • Parking – Indicate whether or not you prefer properties that accommodate vehicles or choose ‘Either’ to retrieve both types
  • Doorman – Indicate whether or not you prefer properties with doormen or choose ‘Either’ to retrieve both types
  • Elevator – Indicate whether or not you prefer properties that have elevator access or choose ‘Either’ to retrieve both types
  • Laundry – Indicate whether or not you prefer properties that have laundry on site (inside unit or on the premises) or choose ‘Either’ to retrieve both types
  • Air Conditioner – Indicate whether or not you prefer properties that have air conditioning systems or choose ‘Either’ to retrieve both types
  • Credit Check – Indicate whether or not you prefer owners who do not require credit checks or choose ‘Either’ to retrieve both types
  • High Speed Internet – Indicate whether or not you prefer properties with high speed internet or select ‘high speed internet’ to retrieve both types
  • Cable – Indicate whether or not you prefer properties with cable TV access or choose ‘Either’ to retrieve both types
  • Utilities – Indicate whether or not you prefer properties that include utilities in advertised price or choose ‘Either’ to retrieve both types
  • Renewal Option – Indicate whether or not you prefer properties with option to renew leases or choose ‘no preference’ to retrieve both types
  • Ownership Status – Indicate preference for properties posted by owners, real estate agents, property managers, and so on.
  • Broker Fee – Indicate whether or not you prefer properties that require a broker’s fee or choose ‘Either’ to retrieve both types
  • Square Footage – Indicate preference for a specific range or choose ‘Square Footage’ to retrieve any types.
  • Government Subsidies – Indicate whether or not you prefer properties that accept government subsidies such as section 8 or any other types. Or choose ‘Government Subsidies’ to retrieve both types.
  • With Pictures – Indicate preference for listings with photographs by clicking on button. Leave blank to retrieve both types.
  • Search – Click on ‘Search’ to run the search with or without any selected criteria.

How Do I Sort through my Search Results?

  • Users can sort search results by Photos, ID, City, Neighborhood, Bedrooms and Price.
  • Click on each item to sort in an ascending or descending order.

 

What's 'Upgrade Membership'?

  • Users need to upgrade membership to contact any other users.
  • Renters need to upgrade membership to EMAIL or to have access to PHONE
  • Owners need to upgrade membership to have access to Tenant Database
  • Users need to select a REGION to proceed to next step
  • Users need to choose a 'Membership Option' to proceed to next step
  • Users need to select either 'Paypal or Authorize.net as a Payment Method'

What's 'Rental Mail Center'? 

  • Email inquiries and replies sent by owners are added and archived in 'Rental Mail Center'
  • Email notifications are sent to renters directing them to visit 'Rental Mail Center' to view and reply to messages
  • Renters can reply to messages 
  • Use 'Filter by Username' to search for specific user(s)
  • Delete option is available to remove messages from archives

Select all required fields marked by an Asterisk (*).

  • Zip/Postal Code - Place 5-digit Zip Code or postal codes for international locations.
  • Address – Indicate Street Address; actual building or house number is not necessary
  • Cross Street 1 – Indicate 1st cross street
  • Cross Street 2 – Indicate 2nd cross street
  • Rental Types – Indicate whether you are interested in sharing apartment with tenant Or interested in renting exclusively to tenants
  • Lease Types – Indicate whether you are interested in daily, weekly, monthly, or in other short-term or long-term leases
  • Price – Indicate actual price
  • Price Quote – Indicate whether actual price is quoted daily, weekly, or monthly.
  • Lease Begins – Indicate when property is available
  • Lease Ends – Indicate when property is not available
  • Category – Indicate category by choosing from available options.
  • Property Types – Indicate Property types by selecting from available options.
  • Pets – Indicate whether or not property accommodates pets or choose ‘Either’ for no selection.
  • Smoking – Indicate whether or not property accommodates smoking or choose ‘Either’ for no selection
  • Bedrooms – Indicate actual number of bedrooms
  • Bathrooms – Indicate actual number of bathrooms
  • Security Deposit – Indicate whether or not you require a security deposit or choose ‘Either’ for no selection

  • Comments – Please add additional advertising comments and notes. 
  • Feel free to highlight any essential listing feature missing from our list. 
  • Avoid discriminatory language. Staff will delete offensive language.
  • Add Pictures – Click tab to add photographs to listing. Email is sent thanking owners for new posting.
  • Add – Click to post listings with no photographs.  

How do I Manage Listing Pictures?

Click on ‘Manage Listing Pictures’

  • Caption – Type in photographs’ titles
  • Picture – Click on browse to add individual photo. 
  • Limit is 6 photos per listing. 
  • Size must not exceed 2 megabites. 
  • Click on ‘Add’ to upload each photo.

How do I EDIT or PREVIEW listing after I click on Add?

  • Click on ‘Manage Listing’
  • Click on ‘Preview Listing’ Or ‘Edit Listing’

How do I add photos later?

  • Click on ‘My Listings’ from top menu bar, Click ‘Edit Listing’

How Do I View, Edit or Delete Individual Listings?

  • Click on ‘My Listings’ from top menu bar.
  • Click on ‘View’, ‘Edit’, ‘Deactivate’, or ‘Delete’ for each individual listing

How Do I Deactivate or Delete Multiple Listings at Once?

  • Click on ‘My Listings’ from top menu bar
  • Place checkmarks in appropriate boxes
  • Or click ‘Check All’.
  • Click on ‘Deactivate’ or ‘Delete’

How Do I Sort through my Multiple Listing?

  • Click on either City, State, Price, or Photos to sort through in ascending or descending order

Can I Search through my Multiple Listings?

  • Click on ‘My Listings’
  • Type in either Listing Number, Activation Date or Keywords
  • Click on ‘Filter’ to run search.

How Do I Save Searches as a Registered Owner?
